E.A. Miller, M.A., M.B.A.  - Cofounder and Director

Ed has an M.A. degree in Special Education- behavioral and learning specialist, from            U.N.C., Greeley, Colorado and a B.S. degree in Physical Education from C.S.U., Ft. Collins, Colorado.  After twenty-three years of teaching and coaching, Ed became involved full time in providing evidence-based treatment programs to ADHD families in the Denver metro area. He founded a small non-profit organization and private school dedicated to best practices for ADHD students. Ed took early retirement from teaching in order to pursue an M.B.A degree in an effort to provide research proven programs for ADHD families on a larger scale while decreasing the high costs normally associated with such programs.

Presently, Ed is leading the start-up of Thrive Family Solutions (name inspired by his wife Kera). Thrive is continuing services previously provided now combined with expanded new programming by integrating proven treatment models into daycare and educational settings. Thrive is now able to meet the greatest needs of ADHD families in one location. It is Ed and Kera's mission to bring life changing information and services to the thousands of families in search of solutions.

Kera is currently completing a Bachelor of Science degree at T.T.U. in Technical Communication with a minor in Psychology.

She became involved with CHADD (national support organization) while raising her younger brother Louis after their mother was severly disabled by a bout with cancer and a stroke.

Louis, having severe ADHD along with other complications, was hard to keep in daycares and to manage at home.  His behavior escalated over the years and despite Kera's efforts to find a solution locally to help him, she had to turn to a resedential treatment center for help.

Although she was researching new information, Kera knew the resedential treatment center was the right answer at the time; this was very difficult for both Kera and Louis.  During this time Kera found CHADD and took an online parenting class taught by another parent who had a child with ADHD.  Finally Kera found someone that understood and programs that made a difference. This parent training class dispelled myths about ADHD and offered a new approach to helping Louis to still be himself and yet be able to start succeeding in his life.

Wanting to bring this info to the Lubbock community and help famililes hopefully not have to go through what they went through, Kera went to California to a National CHADD Conference in November, 2008 to become a certified P2P (parent to parent) teacher.   It was at this conference that Kera and Ed met and fell in love; They were married the following December.

Kera has helped run the summer program on a pilot basis in Lubbock before starting back to school in 2012. Joining forces with her husband to  bring this life changing information to thousands of families instead of the dozens reached in the past they formed Thrive Family Solutions.  It is their dream to get the most correct information available into the hands of parents so that they can make informed decisions about advocating and getting successful treatment for their child/ren!
